Introduction to Flame Control Specialty Construction Products

FC Fire Retardant Mastic No. 50-44 Low VOC
Flame Control No. 50-44 is an asbestos free, reinforced intumescent thermal protective coating, designed for application to interior structural steel, where it is necessary or desirous to increase the steel fire endurance time up to one hour.

FC No. 50-44 Application Guide

FC No. 50-69C & 50-69 CX Cementitous Thermal Cladding for Structural Steel
Flame Control No. 50-69C and No. 50-69CX Cementitious Type Thermal Claddings contain no asbestos. They are formulated essentially out of fire inert inorganic materials; therefore, coated surfaces will not support combustion and are fire safe. No. 50-69C and No. 50-69CX offer an inexpensive way of affording permanent, lightweight, fire protection to interior and exterior structural steel through thermal insulation. They are supplied as dry materials that are mixed with water prior to application. Provides up to four hour Fire Rating.

FC No. 70 Intumescent Mastic for Cable Fire Protection
Flame Control No. 70 is a specially formulated, asbestos free, water base, reinforced intumescent fire retardant coating, designed primarily for use on electrical, communication cables and their supporting trays, where it is either necessary or desirous to increase their fire endurance time. When exposed to fire or high heat, the coating puffs up (intumesces), and forms a protective dense foam fire barrier, that shields the cables and trays, thereby retarding the penetrating of heat and propagation of flame. Specialty Construction Products No. 70 should be used where maximum fire protection is desired.

FC No. 77 Intumescent Mastic for Cable Fire Protection
No. 77 is a water based fire retardant coating compound from proprietary fire retardant resins, chemicals and nonasbestos reinforcing fibers. It has been designed for use on grouped electrical cables and their supporting trays. No. 77 prevents the propagation of fire along the cable surfaces and greatly increases the fire endurance time of supporting trays. No. 77 contains no flammable solvents and therefore, presents no fire hazard while being applied. However, due care must be exercised when applying No. 77, as it is a conductor of electricity while wet.
