You can use Flame Control’s Fire Retardant and Flame Retardant Paints to enhance the fire protection of drywall construction. Applications include using our non-flammable topcoat paints to maintain the low flammability inherent with drywall construction or actually using our intumescent paints to enhance the time for the drywall covered wall assemblies to burn through.

There are times that drywall surfaces may be in close proximity to heat generating equipment like wood stoves. In those cases you might need one of our special High Performance Industrial Heat Resistant Coatings to apply to the drywall to protect it from damage and which will withstand the elevated surface temperature.
