High Performance Industrial Heat Resistant Coatings
If you have a surface that gets hot and you want to paint it, you need Flame Control Heat Resistant, Hi-Heat paint.
Flame Control Heat Resistant Coatings are produced in a series of different resin bases. Each series differs in characteristics, such as maximum temperature capabilities, type of cure, minimum curing temperature, etc. These High Heat paints form tough, durable, heat resistant finishes, protecting all types of metal surfaces from corrosion and weathering. Most products are also suitable for use on stainless steel surfaces, as they are formulated with special ingredients to minimize contamination from chlorides, other halides, sulfides, nitrates, and metals which are known to induce external stress corrosion cracking, and as they contain no free metallic zinc, they will not contribute to embrittlement of stainless steel welds.
Our original line of High Temperature coatings were formulated in a gloss formula although some colors and original products are available in a flat finish. All have VOC compliant versions and the various product lines will withstand temperatures of 500°F, 850°F, 900°F , 1200°F and 1500°F. These products have been used by industry for over 30 years.
TemperKote® Hi-Heat® coatings were developed by Flame Control and introduced in early 2008. They were developed to provide a very color stable high temperature paint to the marketplace. They are formulated to protect all types of metals surfaces from corrosion and weathering up to 1200°F with a tough, durable finish. We have also developed special corrosion control primers for corrosive atmospheres. All the TemperKote® paints have been formulated to go over zinc containing primers or to be applied to zinc or galvanized surfaces. A special version, TemperKote® HS was also developed for application to surfaces at operating temperatures or to hot surfaces as they cool so that equipment can be painted at or near operating temperatures.
We have recently introduced a CUI (Corrosion Under Insulation) paint. Go to theTemperKote® home page to learn more.
We have also developed TemperKote® INS Hi-Heat Thermal Insulating Coating which is a composite ceramic insulation coating system. The coating provides an insulating barrier, protects personnel and helps prevent or reduce condensation formation all in one product. Microscopic air filled ceramic particles blended with premium acrylic resins provide substantial temperature differentials in relatively thin films. TemperKote® INS eliminates the need for conventional insulation and jacketing for process equipment and piping.
Flame Control Resistant Coatings are recommended for the protection of:
Refinery Equipment – crackers, heaters, reformers, etc.
Steel Mill Equipment – furnaces, ovens, etc.
Stacks, boiler and furnace casings, pipes, pumps, manifolds, exhaust, compressors, turbines, engines, heat exchangers, radiators, insulated and noninsulated storage tanks, insulated steel and stainless steel piping, vessels and tanks.
All metal surfaces that will become hot during use
Flame Control Heat Resistant Coatings are easily applied by brush or spray, and are available in white, black, silver, and wide selection of colors.
